BY CAR
If you are driving from Los Angeles the ride will take you about an hour and thirty minutes with no traffic. If possible, be sure to leave before 2 p.m. to beat late afternoon traffic and if you are leaving on a Friday, we suggest departing by noon. When you exit the freeway you will begin a twist and turn climb from the busy valley into the picturesque mountains that feel like you’ve escaped to a different world.
BY PLANE
If you are traveling by air, the closets airport to Lake Arrowhead is Ontario International Airport. The Ontario airport is a smaller international airport but does offer a wide variety of direct flights, the commute from this airport is just under one hour. LAX and Santa Ana (Orange County) are a little bit further away but might offer more flight options.
Lake Arrowhead does have a few smaller hotels, inns, and a beautiful lakeside resort near the village; however, most visitors opt for Airbnbs, VRBOs, and vacation rentals. Please see the links below for a few local lodging recommendations. Note: Lake Arrowhead is a private lake accessible only to lakeside property owners and their guests.
